tartan and curly hair

hello... I love a bit of tartan and am styling a bit of double tartan here, maybe a more wintery feel to the double denim? this scarf leaps round my neck every time I leave the house, it is so snugly and warm and is likely to be in a few more posts. I did brave the cold to take a few photos without it though to showcase my tartan skirt from Urban Outfitters, the colours are so autumn winter, [style tick for me] and its made from brushed cotton which is really soft, ahh more snugly fabric, if I came across a bear in the wild rather than run I'd probably try to snuggle into it!!!

and the age old question is, do my feet look big in these? I think yes and seeing these photos they probably weren't the best for this outfit, but super models have big feet, right.

here are some of my latest loves, some things that make me go mmmmm yum!!!, ahh that's sooooo cute and revelations of brilliance.

Innocent smoothies big knit. it is not very often a week goes by where I don't taste the gorgeousness of an Innocent smoothie, this pomegranate, blueberry and acai one being a real favourite and my go to Monday afternoon treat, and at the moment it is the big knit campaign where some money from each purchase goes towards the charity age UK, which helps older people keep warm in the winter which is great and each bottle is adorned with a cute little knitted hat, I have collected quite a few over the years.

macaroooooons!!! I actually do not think I had tried a macaroon before last week, but know I have, and  they are not only really cute to look at and take a nice picture, but they taste L.O.V.E. lovely!!!  but I read they are quite difficult to make which may be why they are not the cheapest of confectionery and seemed somewhat allusive where I live, but I tracked them down in a local patisserie, yes. mmmmm almondy meringue scrumptiousness.

hello amaretto ice cream. a few weeks ago me and my mum went to the city of Bath, my university place, and after a lot of shopping, hello Mac cosmetics stand, we went to a Jamie's Italian restaurant and after demolishing a very tasty bowl of pasta, opted for the epic chocolate brownie for pudding that came with amaretto ice cream, that tasted like marzipan [marzipan is one of my favourite parts of a Christmas cake] both me and my mum agree it was epic. once I tasted that greatness I was on a search to find some more, what I call, marzipan ice cream. and when browsing the ice cream isles of the supermarket, one of my favourite pastimes, I found this one and it is creamy and so scrumptious.

autumn leaves and wonderful views. this is part of the view from my bedroom window and this photo doesn't really capture it, but I am lucky enough to have an awesome view. and come this time of year the skyline, foreground and in between gets filled with colour from not only the autumn leaves but hundreds of fieworks at night which are sooooo wonderful to watch being snugly at home.

wearing black. when looking through my mountains of clothes it would of been hard to spy a black item of clothing, and even less likely I would be wearing one [other than tights of course], but lately I have been liking it and have been wearing some black on numerous occasions, yes another excuse to go shopping, for more black items.

lipstick - Mac rebel

I remember my first proper lipstick I got for in my Christmas stocking in my early teens, I had described to my mum, who obviously told Father Christmas, about the deep purpley sort of colour I wanted, and I was so happy when I unwrapped my Rimmel dark fuschia lipstick. I didn't wear a lot of makeup as a teen but that lipstick was my lips companion for a long time, through my teens to my first few years a uni, I wasn't daring enough to wear it to its full coverage but I would smudge a bit on my finger and smudge it on my lips, making me feel great, even if it wasn't really noticeable.

then a few years ago my love affair with lipsticks hit off and a whole array of colours, formulas  and brands have paraded my lips. and recently another Mac lipstick was purchased, Mac rebel that happens to be a deep purpley colour and I seem to be reaching for it time and time again, almost in tribute to my aforementioned now kinda older Rimmel fuschia lipstick.
this Mac rebel lipstick is a satin finish which I find lasts a bit longer than a lot of creme finishes, great for when munching when out for the day. I have been enjoying using it dabbed on with a finger or straight on the lips and think it's a great colour for winter.

another winter jumper

long time no blog I know... but my blog is over a year old now and needs a bit of loving, so lets give it some love. I love this time of year, it may be sooooo cold outside but it means cosy nights in with Strictly and the X factor on telly, peaking out the window to see the nights sky light up with fireworks, twinkling stars and flashes of father Christmas and his reindeer and of cores getting all snugly in a big winter jumper... yes I love my winter jumpers and yes I do have two draws and half a wardrobe of jumpers already but here is another one one I picked up...

alright i took a few selfies before taking my outfit photos.

jumper = h&m, skirt = dorothy perkins, shoes = converse

I saw this jumper while walking out of the shop after queuing for ages to get to the till, but just had to return to that queue to buy this jumper!!! I do have quite a few fairisley jumpers but... none with a high neck and I really like the vintage sort of style of this one, it kind of reminds me of thick winter jumpers I wore when I was younger getting all excited for Christmas. it will be great layered with a coat in the cold, I have already got my super cosy tights out!!!
