bonfire muffins

hello hello

 an edible bonfire... umm yeah

any time of year a fire is a great place to get together and get all snug toasting marshmallows some awesome fun, so to keep that snug feeling burning when outdoors and indoors I made these log fire muffins, yum

ingredients:
[this recipe makes two muffins]
6 1/2 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsps melted butter
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsps milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
chocolate spread

for the topping:
a chocolate flake
2 wafer rolls
some fire coloured gummy sweets
chocolate spread

preheat the oven to 167°C
get two bowls, in one bowl sieve and mix the dry ingredients, in the other bowl mix the wet ingredients but leaving the chocolate spread for later. add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix together. place 2/3 of the the mixture in two muffin cases, make a hole in the centre of each muffin and place in a bit of chocolate spread in the centre. use the rest of the muffin mixture to cover the hole and top the muffins. place on the middle shelf of the oven for about 17 minutes. take out of the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack. once they have cooled enough to add a topping, get the remaining ingredients. place some chocolate spread in the middle of each muffin. cut the chocolate flake and wafer rolls each into about 3 pieces then arrange around the chocolate spread then add in the fire coloured sweets!
now just to grab some sticks and marshmallows, yay

love Alice
